YouTube Symphony Orchestra

This looks very interesting... Musicians from around the world are being invited to audition for the first of its kind YouTube Symphony Orchestra. Renowned Chinese composer Tan Dun (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) has composed a special piece called Internet Symphony No. 1 "Eroica" for the ocassion. Anyone can download the music, practice then submit their performance of it to YouTube. Video entries will be combined into the first ever collaborative virtual performance, and the world will select the best to perform at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas in April 2009.

Brilliant! I can't wait to hear how it turns out.
