Will Ferrell makes me laugh in almost everything he's in. This video short "The Landlord" is no exception and was created to promote a new site called "funny or die". According to "Wired Magazine" the video was viewed more than 7 million times in less than 24 hours (Now up to over 20 million).
It was shot in just 45 minutes using family and friends -- it didn't hurt that it was made by former Saturday Night Live writer Adam McKay who also co-wrote and directed Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
"On the web you do ideas you can't use anywhere else," McKay says. "Like, a baby landlord would never work as a movie. We were excited by getting this chance to goof around with those kinds of ideas."
